HP Envy x360 15.6-Inch Laptop Gets IMAX Certification

HP Envy x360 15.6-Inch Laptop

HP introduces its Envy line of laptops which seems to be the talk of the town as the brand just revealed in a laptop context, its unique, shiny, and versatile feature that is ready for use for professionals and/or freelancers. Of the brand’s new models, the USP of the HP Envy x360 15.6-Inch laptop 2-in-1 tablet is its specs and its associating with the world’s first laptop to be given IMAX Enhanced certification. But how does that make a real difference for the consumer?

The IMAX certification not only brings in the DTS: X audio technology that will allow users to have an immersive sound experience but also widens the aspect ratio, which is currently a feature that is available in the streaming services like Disney Plus. Although it might be thrilling to be taken to such a world, it is difficult to imagine it happening via a 15.6-inch laptop screen. All the same, HP is determined to turn a 15.6-inch screen into a vehicle for bringing people the IMAX theater experience that they know from a cineplex but that they can enjoy in a tangible form in the privacy of their device using it for both leisure and work purposes.

HP Envy x360 15.6-inch has Intel Core and AMD Ryzen processor choices, the latter being the one relevant to the user. Still, it is the Intel model that comes with a choice of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, the one that should be preferred by those in need of extra processor power while doing creative work or light gaming. The devices display a resolution of 1080p Full HD, which is a questionable matter across the board since IMAX-related hardware is anticipated to be the best in resolution.

The HP Envy 17.3-inch notebooks are the best options for those who want to get the most of the features since they come with the latest Intel Core i7-13700H, RTX 3050 GPU, up to 32GB DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Moreover, the gadgets are well-mounted with 4K resolution, which is meant to be a very attractive option for the users who put the display before any other function.

Notable features on the Envy line are 5MP webcams with IR camera support (not for the 14-inch model that has a fingerprint reader instead), and a wide range of ports, with Windows 11 pre-installed.

The 14-inch HP Envy x360 is already available starting at $849.99, while the 15.6-inch version is expected to launch soon, with the AMD Ryzen R5 and Intel Core i5 models kicking off the pricing at $949.99 and $1,199.99, respectively. The HP Envy 17.3-inch model will start at $1,149, with shipping expected in May.

The HP Envy x360 15.6-inch 2-in-1 is IMAX certified, a marketing gimmick, and thus has good quality, flexibility, and premium features for professional work and leisure purposes. It is not clear that IMAX would be of any benefit in this regard, but the fact that this new lineup presents a different take on multimedia laptops is quite interesting.
