Lenovo, for a long time, has been the most successful company in terms of the revolution of the laptop design and, with the introduction of a brand-new concept namely a PC named Auto Twist AI, it goes on with the new wave. This is the futuristic laptop Lenovo has prepared for the public before IFA Berlin 2024. It’s the AI system that this groundbreaking tech involves, which, once set, drives the monitor to a new position in sync with the user’s step direction.
The invention of the “Dual Degree of Freedom” hinge by Lenovo has allowed people to work with the laptop even in cases when it is necessary to move around, such as video calls, presentations, and work sessions. The AI PC can be also enhanced with the Auto Twist feature, which comes with the option of turning itself off with the help of voice or movement detection, and then users can work on it in a hands-free manner.
It’s compelling that it has a feature to chase you through the room and to maintain the frame of the webcam, similar to the Facebook Portal. Thus, this new innovation brings pros to the table not only for professionals and remote workers who can be super active but also for others who just want the flexibility to sit and stand during video calls or presentations.
Lenovo is also implementing AI technologies making the device wellness-focused, which are intended to highlight better posture and ergonomics. Ai adjusts the screen angle according to the way you sit and may as well remind you gently to sit up a measure which will no doubt be secretly welcomed by most users who have sat for hours at their desks.
On the reverse side, as it is still presented as a vision, some certain problems still exist like the product’s durability and practicality. It is worth mentioning that the wobbling of the display screen is still a problem, and therefore the manufacturer has to focus on this issue. If we refer to the retro phase where such a design becomes part of the production process, it is expected that the Lenovo company will try to optimize the system in order to make it more secure and reliable.
While the idea of the AI-control Auto Twist merely stirs my imagination, the question of whether it will ever be launched is still up in the air. So far, the company hasn’t announced any specific release dates. on the other hand, if these AI-powered smart hinges are embraced by consumers, other laptops will be equipped with this technology.
