The expanded laptop range of Samsung is officially led by the new Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360, an attractive and ultra-slim 2-in-1 device. This laptop is the company’s first Copilot+ PC that runs on an Intel chip and thus is rich in AI capabilities. One of the distinguished features of the Intel Core Ultra 200V CPU is an NPU capable of reaching up to 47 TOPS – the reason it is the best fit for AI-driven tasks. Furthermore, the device includes an Intel Arc GPU connected to a very lovely and responsive 16-inch AMOLED display churning out a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and 2880×1800 resolution that bring vibrant and smooth visual.
At the time of launch, the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 will not include the Copilot+ PC features, though, Samsung has a plan to roll out a free Windows update in November to make it available. After that update, users can use AI tools like Live Captions with translation, Windows Studio Effects, and Cocreator in Paint. Through a connection to a Samsung Galaxy Phone by way of Microsoft Phone Link, users can also avail of Galaxy AI features, which include Circle to Search with Google, Chat Assist, and Transcript Assist.
The design of the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 reveals Samsung’s emphasis on portability and elegance. Its volume of just 12.8mm makes it slightly bigger only than an iPhone 14 Pro Max and therefore the laptop weighs about 1.69kg. The laptop has 2 sophisticated color options: gray and silver.
On the hardware side, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 boasts of some good specs. It is furnished with the Intel Core Ultra 7 or 5 200V series processors, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. The display supports 120% DCI-P3 color volume and can be turned up to 500 nits of brightness. Connectivity options are Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and several ports such as USB-A 3.2, HDMI 2.1, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, microSD, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 was unveiled by Samsung just three months after the release of the introductory Copilot+ PC, Galaxy Book4 Edge with the Snapdragon X Elite chipset. In addition to Intel chips, Samsung enhances Copilot+ features by maximizing the compatibility of 86x software still used by many professionals and gamers. Intel was justifying the switch by naming the Core Ultra 200V series laptops as the two hours more battery than laptops powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X technology, offering the users more performance and durability.
